Coconut Flour has a mild mellow flavour similar to regular wheat flour with a hint of coconut.

  Coconut Flour is a fantastic product because it is high in fibre (around 4g per tablespoon – much higher than other flours), is low GI, and is naturally gluten free. It’s perfect for paleo diets due to its low carbohydrate profile. A great alternative to regular flours for those who are intolerant to gluten or wheat. The combination of high fibre and low GI helps keep you feeling fuller for longer while promoting optimal bowel health.

• + How to use

  Try swapping coconut flour into your regular baking recipes (about 20%) without any significant changes to the final product. If making gluten or wheat-free products, 100% coconut flour can be used although it works best when mixed with other gluten free flours. Other adjustments will be necessary as the high fibre content and absence of gluten in coconut flour means that more liquid and a binding agent (usually eggs or xantham gum) is required. As a general rule, add the same quantity of water to the recipe as Coconut Flour.
